Basilica Hudson is at 110 Front Street in Hudson, on the riverfront just south of the train station.
By Train
Hudson is a two hour train ride via Amtrak from NYC.
By Air
If you're flying, you can come through NYC or fly to Albany Airport, which is an hour north of Hudson. From there you can rent a car or Uber to the Albany train station and take the train one stop south to Hudson.
Getting Around
Once you're in Hudson it is very walkable. If you're staying in town you probably won't need a car.
Accommodations
Hudson is a very popular weekend town, so book lodging as soon as possible. There are many hotels and Airbnbs in town. Be mindful of staying on Warren Street or close by so you are within walking distance of Basilica.
Hotels and inns in Hudson
Mostly small boutique hotels, inns, and guesthouses, so rooms are limited.
Vacation rentals
Hudson also has apartments, historic homes, cottages, and larger houses for groups. Availability, pricing, and cancellation policies change often, so book directly through the platform and confirm location, parking, occupancy, cancellation policy, and check-in times before reserving. Use rentals for lodging only unless the host allows gatherings.

Staying outside Hudson
Nearby towns are backups only, for when Hudson is full or you want something more rural. Plan on a car; rideshare and taxis are limited, especially late at night.
Attire
We are going for a little over the top, theatrical, almost masquerade-ball vibe. Color-wise we encourage blacks, whites, and deep colors. Fancy, but not stuffy.
We encourage you to go a little extra, like what you'd wear to a Tonys after party. Gender-bending is encouraged. We gently discourage khakis and pastel colors.
FAQ
What is Hudson?
Hudson is a lovely albeit somewhat pretentious town along the Hudson River, known for good food, progressive vibes, and exceptionally expensive antique credenzas. Some people call it “Brooklyn North.” We don’t.
Should I book my travel and accommodations last minute?
No, silly - Hudson is very popular amongst New Yorkers and things will fill up. Please see our list of hotels and Airbnbs. If you are traveling by train from NYC don’t wait to buy those tickets - Amtrak is very affordable, but only when you buy far in advance.
Can I drive to the venue?
Yes! It even has its own parking lot!
Can I bring my kids to the wedding?
Although we’re sure your kids are little angels, this is an adult affair and the only children present will be nieces and nephews. If you bring your kids to Hudson there is a babysitting service associated with the wedding service we’re using - let us know if you’d like us to connect you.
What is Flag Day?
Honestly we don’t really know, but a Flag Day parade is happening the day of the wedding. If you’re afraid of flags you should probably start immersion therapy now. Could be a fun thing to witness during the day, though.
Where should I eat my meals that don’t occur at the wedding?
Hudson has many great restaurants. Our favorites include Backbar, Isaan Thai Star, Feast & Floret, Banque, The Maker Cafe, and Kitty’s.
Who are Mikey & Pearson?
If you don’t know, you’re probably on the wrong website.
Will going to a gay wedding turn me gay?
Yes, probably.
